This ritual guided by Jezmina Von Thiele, with live music by Romanistan musician Viktor, will give context to the stereotype of the "Gypsy" curse, and share some of the rich history of Romani resistance magic, from the earliest days to modern-day Roman Futurism and the TechnoWitch who hexes fascists, as coined by Romani feminist theatre-troupe Giuvlipen. This ritual does not engage with any closed practices, but does draw inspiration from Jezmina's Romani ancestry and that history of protective spellwork, while leaving space for participants to draw on their own lineages and beliefs.
