German witches were once known to make pacts with Dragon Spirits. These beings, known as ‘Drak’ or ‘Drache’ in German, have been described by academics as a form of ‘economically aggressive magic’. Their purpose was to enrich individuals at the expense of the community, and therefore dragon spirits were far more heavily sanctioned than other forms of economic magic.
