About this Presentation:

In this hands on presentation, we explore how modern legends and stories from the front lines can be harnessed via the theory and practice of historiola. Each legend is presented in context, with additional spells and rituals constructed from the legend. We will look at how these types of workings have historically been carried out, and how this work can be utilized now. For the context of the festival, North American urban and popular legends will be utilized including modern Internet lore. The point is to utilize this very living form of oral folk culture and harness it and the spirits found within it to act on our behalf.
