Sefer HaOtot: A Hebrew Book of Seals with Sara Mastros

About this Presentation:

In this class, we'll discuss Sefer HaOtot, a never-before translated, never-before published Hebrew manuscript of planetary pentacles. In addition to the historic and cultural context of the manuscript, we'll talk more broadly about the nature of magical translation, substitution, and adaptation. At the end of class, we will write a pentacle from the text together. (which pentacle we make will depend on the astrology of the class date/time). Basic familiarity with Solomonic pentacles is helpful, but not strictly required.
