The 2024 Salem Witch Fest Summer Agora will be held  both  in-person and online. Our in-person event Welcome Center & Class spaces will be located at the historic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts with special events throughout the city.

-When & Where will the In-Person Festival be held?

 

Our in-person event will be held Wednesday, August 14th 2024 - Sunday August 18th, with our  Welcome Center & Class spaces located at the historic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts with special events throughout the city. In addition to 25 classes, workshops & rituals, our in-person event will also feature special events including:

• Welcome Dinner at The Hawthorne Hotel with our Presenters (available for our VIP Ticket Holders)

• Film Screening & Panel Discussion at Cinema Salem of The Wicker Man (1973)

• Antilux: An Evening of Immersive ritual at the Historic Witch House

• The Black Cat Cabaret - A costume party featuring hors d’ovres and cocktails,  dancing, burlesque & drag performers.

• Mercato Delle Streghe - A Witches Market featuring a curated selection of magical wares and dark artes.

• Sunday Brunch - At The Hawthorne Hotel. Our closing event

• Pub Crawl with The Presenters - A boozy walking tour of Salem with our Presenters (available for our VIP Ticket Holders)

• In-Person attendees will also receive links to class recordings after the festival.

-When & Where will the Online Festival be held?

 

Our online event will be held Thursday, August 15th 2024 - Saturday, August 17th 2024 with all of our classes live-streamed and recorded for later viewing (special events are not included, classes only)

-I'm Traveling to Salem, Where Should I Stay?

There is a block of rooms with a discounted rate at The Hawthorne Hotel for those attendees that want to stay where the action is! This is a limited number of discounted rooms, so if you are planning to stay here, please call The Hawthorne Hotel at 978-744-4080 or 800-SAY-STAY and mention Salem Witch Fest for your special rate. There are additional hotels within the downtown Salem neighborhood including:

There are also several beautiful B&B’s in and around the downtown Salem area that are worth looking into, as well as Airbnb & Vrbo.

We advise securing your hotel room or room share as soon as possible, as Salem is a bustling tourist destination in the summer.

-I'm Traveling to Salem, How Do I Get There?

The closest airport to Salem is Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. Logan Airport is approximately 15 miles away from Salem, and there are multiple travel options available. There are several car rental companies located at Logan Airport, there are multiple shuttle options from Logan Airport to commuter rail stops, The Northshore Mall (Peabody, MA) or MBTA locations. Uber & Lyft also operative regularly from the airport to Salem, as well as Taxi services.

-Does the Festival engage in any charitable giving?

The Salem Witchcraft and Folklore Festival will be donating a portion of its profits to several charities during this year's event. We will be updating our list of charities in the coming months.   To view a current list of our 2024 charities click HERE

-Is the Festival an all ages event?

 

The Salem Witchcraft and Folklore Festival intended for people 18 years and older.

​

 

-How long are the class/workshop sessions?

 

Classes and workshops will be between 60-120 minutes.

​

​

 

-How much time can I expect between classes

 

In most instances there will be at least 60 minutes between classes and workshops.

-How do I apply to be a Presenter or Vendor

​
