The Key of Solomon presents us with planetary magic in the form of forty-four pentacles, each offering uses ranging from making one more attractive, to success in negotiations, to protection from imprisonment.  However, the Key gives little detail about the principles behind the pentacles—how they work, and how to work them—pr where they come from and how they were made. This class is based on a series of workings that engaged with the pentacles as spirits, culminating in the development of a method to create new pentacles. This method enables you to design a pentacle which serves as a contact point for a spirit towards a specific set of sorcerous ends 
 
In this class, the presenters will discuss their work with the pentacles, giving general techniques for working with canonical pentacles, and specific workings we have developed. We will also give instructions for creating new pentacles for bespoke purposes, and give examples of several pentacles we have created (e.g. for building community, creating healthy boundaries, and unionizing workplaces). By the end of the class, participants will have knowledge and tools for working with the pentacles in The Key of Solomon and for making and inspiriting their own pentacles, either through their own spirit working practices or through use of a pentacle for inspiriting pentacles.
 
About the Presenter:
Peter Von Leykamm (he/him) has practiced qigong and related forms of energy work for over 20 years, including 5 years spent living in Beijing as a closed-door disciple of the Internal Chinese Martial Arts. He is a necromancer, and practitioner of planetary grimoire magick, cartomancy, and a variety of other occult disciplines. He currently lives in Brooklyn.   Vincent V. Saint-Roch is a bibliomancer, necromancer, practitioner of planetary grimoire magic, cartomancer, and saint enthusiast. He has interviewed magical workers and written about magic for roughly a decade, and is better known under other names.
 
Vincent V. Saint-Roch is a diviner living in Brooklyn. He is the author of three books of poetry.
